QUEERPANORAMA (w/ Q&A)

Following TRACEY (2018) and DRIFTING (2021), Hong Kong director Jun Li returns with his third self-financed feature, selected for the Berlin International Film Festival’s Panorama section.

Unlike his previous works, QUEERPANORAMA draws from a decade of personal experiences meeting men through dating apps, blending fiction with autobiography. The protagonist adopts each past lover’s identity when meeting someone new, exploring the blurred lines between truth and deception.

Mostly in English, the film is both international and deeply personal. Shot in black and white with static frames and featuring nudity, it boldly challenges the audience's perception.
