FLY ME TO THE MOON tells the story of two sisters, Yuen and Kuet, who move from Hunan to Hong Kong in the late 1990s to reunite with their troubled father. As they face poverty, discrimination, and the lingering effects of their father's criminal past and addiction, they develop into individuals with contrasting personalities. The film delves into themes of identity, family trauma, and the complex, often painful dynamics with those who shape our lives.
We were honored to have director Sasha Chuk and producer Stanley Kwan join the online post-screening discussion.
